Sales Floor Associate Team Member

20 - 30 hours a week

We have an opportunity to join our team as a Sale Floor Associate to play a crucial role in ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers while contributing to the store's overall success.

Job description:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering their questions, and offering product recommendations.
  • Product Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of quilting fabrics, patterns, and supplies to assist customers in finding the right products.
  • Sales: Actively engage in selling quilting materials, fabrics, notions, and other related products. Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Fabric Cutting: Measure and cut fabrics according to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management tasks, including restocking shelves, conducting inventory counts, and reporting low-stock items.
  • Customer Assistance: Help customers with quilting-related inquiries, offer quilting tips, and provide guidance on fabric selection and quilting techniques.
  • Cash Handling: Operate cash registers, handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain cash drawer accuracy.
  • Problem Resolution: Address customer concerns and resolve any issues that may arise during their shopping experience.
  • Store Policies: Familiarize customers with store policies, including return and exchange procedures, as well as any ongoing promotions or sales.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the sales floor and cutting area clean and organized. Ensure that quilting equipment is well-maintained.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to create a positive and productive store environment.
  • Upselling: Suggest additional products or services that complement customers' purchases, such as quilting accessories or workshops.


Inventory Specialist

8:45-2:45 Monday-Friday

30 hours a week (occasionally weekends)

Job description:

  • Receive, record, restock floor with inventory
  • Oversee inventory and order additional products and supplies when needed
  • Fulfill and ship online and phone orders 
  • Communicate with and help customers through email, phone and online communications
  • Resolve customer complaints or grievances
  • Carrying out directives given by store owner
  • Assist in merchandise displaying to maximize purchasing appeal
  • Assist taking in sewing machines for cleaning and repairs
  • Assist taking in quilt tops for long-arm quilting services
  • Assist on-floor associates when needed- wait on customers, cut fabric, fold kits, checkout, organize and clean
