Mike has taken Maxine Rosenthal’s One-Block Wonder Panel Quilts book ideas and applied them to the large 2023 Quilt Minnesota panel. This beautiful quilt uses large pieces and goes together faster than you would imagine. Mike has many helpful tips for efficiency and construction - you’ll wonder why you didn’t start this project earlier!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • Book - ONE BLOCK WONDER PANEL QUILTS by Maxine Rosenthal

  • Kit or fabrics as needed according to the pattern

  • (7) Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop 2023 panels by Amanda Bierbaum for Clothworks

  • (1) 5/8 yard green Grunge (binding)

  • Sewing machine with quarter inch sewing machine foot

  • Quilters Select 8” 60 degree Non-slip ruler (a fantastic ruler!)

  • Flat head (flower) pins

  • Basic sewing machine supplies (needle, thread, pins, scissors, seam ripper)

  • Rotary cutting equipment (rotary cutter with fresh blade, mat and rulers)

  • 6” x 24” and 6” x 12” are handy ruler sizes

  • Cutting mat for cutting triangles

  • Iron

PREPARATION BEFORE CLASS:

  • Please have fabrics pressed before class, but do not wash panels!
